129 Vintage Antique Czech Mali Wedding Beads West African Trade Beads 26" Strand

These antique Czech glass beads were traded into Africa and are considered African Trade Beads. They became popular among the Fulani people of Mali, who have traditionally presented these strands to young women on the eve of their wedding, hence the name Mali Wedding Beads.
Very colorful, this strand is made with mostly teardrop shaped beads that are approximately 16mm long (5/8") x 6mm wide and are top-drilled. There are 129 beads on this 26" strand, with approximately 5-1/4" of bare cord.
These have been stored in a smoke-free home.
