1942 Blessing Super Artist Cornet - Repair or Parts

"Super Artist" Cornet in Bb by E.K. Blessing, Elhart IN
Rough Condition, Built 1942

Greetings! I offer this Bb cornet made by E.K.Blessing, Elkhart IN. "Super Artist" model. Serial # 40075 indicates production about 1942. Thius was Blessing's top-of-the-line cornet, and this one was built right after Pearl Harbor, according to published serial number lists, before Blessing temporarily halted instrument production during WW2.
CONDITION:
Rather rough condition. The instrument has been buffed and relacquered at some point. There are dents and damage to the bell, the worst of which is a nasty kink in the bell throat at the 3rd valve. There are stress marks in the brass, but I don't think there are cracks (although Blessing's brass is notorious for cracks) so I think a really good repair tech could do a credible job of fixing the bell. The bell tail is pushed in towards the 1st valve slide a bit. The 2nd slide pull knob is off, but it is present in the case. There are dings and dents scattered around the instrument, and what looks like the start of a bit of red-rot in the mouthpipe. The pistons have surface wear but don't seem to leak all that much. One bottom cap is missing; I checked my spares but I do not have one. I have not cleaned the instrument, you are buying it exactly as-found. See pictures. WYSIWYG.
PLAYING QUALITIES:
It is nominally playable, but is a bit stuffy. I think the bell throat dents are part of the problem, and the horn is probably also full of unhealthy crud that is impeding the vibration column. NOTE that I make no representations made about its suitability for your intended use.
