    - First find out which iPod you have (Go to Settings / About on your iPod), or measure the dimensions of your iPod.
    - If it is the 5th Generation with the plastic front, and 0.55 inches thick, you need this THICK battery. If it is 0.43 inches you need the THIN battery instead.
    - If it is the 6th Generation with the aluminum front, and 0.53 inches thick, you need this THICK battery. If it is 0.41 inches you need the THIN battery instead.
    - If it is the 7th Generation with the aluminum front, you need the THIN battery instead.
