Antique 1911 New Proportion Cornet Trumpet Holton SN 15568 Orig Box Extra Valves

Description

It is a Frank Holton Co., Chicago. New Proportion, serial number 15568. From my research it shows the date of 1911. It has extra valves “to change to tone from B flat to ?.” It also has three mouthpieces: one marked “F Besson Model”, “Antoine Courtois” and no marking on the last one. The cone is marked “C. G. Conn (I think and I can’t make out the last word). It is also dented as you can see in the pictures. It comes in it’s original case.
I’m selling this for a 92 year old friend and only going by what he told me. He said it is silver, not silver plate. I don’t know how you can tell. It looks like it is in very good condition. He had it serviced and sanitized locally and did not play it since he got it back. He paid 0 for it and the tag is still in the case.
