Antique Bohemian Red Vaseline Glass Faceted Flat Bicone Disc ca late 19th c

Antique Bohemian Red Vaseline glass beads. Handmade glass faceted bicone beads, the more rare flat disc shape. These red beads are more rare than the green Vaseline glass beads and just as brilliant.
These beads were produced in Bohemia (now the Czech Republic) from the 1830s through approximately 1915, and were traded in Africa. The facets and rounded areas are worn and smoothed over by time having been traded through many countries and passed through many hands. Some chipping and pitting due to age. Please see photos. These beads are old and come with great character.
Some of these beads are chipped and dirty but this is part of their charm.
Diameter is approximately 11 mm although some variance will occur given these are handmade. Height is 7 mm at the largest area.
