Antique Distin for Pepper Cornet with case

Description

Late 19th Distin for Pepper B flat/A cornet in raw brass with original case, two shanks, one bit and period (though unlikely original) mouthpiece. This instrument is typical Distin quality with embossed decorative ferrules. Cosmetically the horn is not a beauty Queen but it has no serious dents or dings. The pistons appear to have been replated at some point in its life.
The cornet at one time appears to have been bright dipped by a repair tech who didn’t know any better. This can be ragged out if desired. Case still functions properly. It’s leather is in ok shape for its age but the outer leather music pouch has pulled apart.
