Teal Green Drawn Glass Trade Beads w/Red & White Stripes, Strand. Stripes are Brick Red with white striped edging. Light translucent off white core.
Beads were made by the Drawn method, then sectioned into bead "slices". Various slice sizes. Hard to find in this color and beautiful Condition!
Venetian Made from the 1800's, about 150 years old.
SIZES: 110 beads (actually 111, did not count one severely damaged bead). Very few beads have slight chips.
Beads are approximately 12-14mm across, 4-9mm hole to hole. 28 1/2”Strand, including Length of Raffia. Beads are temporarily strung on raffia, a palm fibre used in Africa as a temporary stringing material.
CONDITION: Beads are in Above Average, Very Good Condition for circulated Antique Trade Beads. Only a few beads with small chips.
These are Antique Trade Beads from the African Trade and have been worn, Traded, and have traveled multiple Continents, so will show expected surface wear and tear.
