Antique Venetian Millefiori African Trade Beads Murina Liberty Necklace.
Up for auction or buy it now is a "Liberty" necklace which involves these extraordinary beaded pieces with Venetian millefiori beads. The millefiori beads are usually very high quality and come in rare shapes. Themillefiori beads have a large number of fantastic murina all very well set.
Necklace weighs 122 grams and measures approximately 38" in length plus the 7" from the bottom millefiori bead . There is no clasp for this necklace and is 19" "closed" from end to beginning of the "charm bead". These appear to be in excellent condition for their age but, Please look at the photos for condition to make your own determination. There is one/two strands on the end that are missing the micro beads and can be seen in the photo provided. This necklace was featured in the Bead Museum of D.C. exhibit "Venice: Beadmaker to the World" back in late 2001 to early 2002 with documentation to support and available upon request.
