Balance Technology BalPac-1200 Portable Vibration Balance Analyzer

Description

This is a used Balance Technology BalPac-1200 portable handheld vibration & balance analyzer. Used in various industries for testing vibration and balancing in machinery and rotating shafts/motors/etc.
The unit is aged and has it's share of scuffs, scratches and marks.  It powers on perfectly with the included 9vdc power supply as well as with one of the batteries (7.2v rechargeable). I wasn't sure on the exact voltage of the power supply, but 9-volts appears to work fine and the unit powers on and operates with that one used.  The only defect I noticed is that a couple of lines at the top of the LCD display were missing. This didn't seem to impact visibility on the main pages as most of the text is below that line, although just mentioning this in the case that there is something that can't be read on that top line.  The LCD display could possibly be replaced as it's a component, although I was unable to find a matching part number for it.
It comes with one magnetic sensor. I connected the sensor to both the left+right ports (one at a time) and was able to see that the unit properly responds, as the sensor was moved it detected motion and the numbers on the display reacted accordingly.  It comes with additional cables as well, one which looks like a standard RJ45 cable, a BNC cable and a red RJ45-to-3.5mm cable which appears that it would connect to an external strobe based on the port marking.
Inserting/removing batteries in the unit must be done with care, there's a button that's pressed to lock/unlock it. It's obvious the previous owner didn't do that as one of the batteries has broken tabs.  The other battery locks and unlocks properly and was able to power the unit on without the need for any external power. All batteries are sold AS-IS, they appear to be standard camcorder style batteries which are somewhat easy to find & replace these days.
This unit is otherwise sold as-is with the known defects (LCD display).
