The majority of the beads (about 85%) have some chips, cracks/broken ends and obvious age wear. The photos show the actual lot of beads you will receive. No additional accessories are included.
Description:
This is a mixed bag of damaged Venetian Glass African Trade Beads from the late 19th - early 20th century. There are 1.75lbs of beads total. They are solid glass, multi-colored in various mosaic/geometric patterns including eyes, stripes, watermelons, flowers, etc. The beads range in diameter from approximately 7mm to 15mm.
Please Note:
Just about all of the beads have chips, cracks or broken ends (as can be seen in the photos).

- Dutch traders were the first Europeans to bring Venetian millefiori beads to West Africa in the late 1400's. The beads were held in high regard by several tribes and were often used as a form of currency. Millefiori beads of this era are still sought after by collectors worldwide.
