Couesnon & Cie Cornet 94 Rue D’Angouleme Paris “ A Beauty “ ornate engraving . Tested by a professional friend of mine . I just purchased a collection of 25 vintage cornets . The Couesnon stood out at the top of the list amazing quality sound . The engraving details on tuning slides , braces and top of valves really stand out . All slides work see picture # 3 . Valves smooth . Not all Couesnon instruments had serial numbers from my research . The 94 Rue D'Angouleme address should help dating the cornet . I don't think case is original ! The mouthpiece is a Couesnon Embouchure Rayee Guibaut research old catalog as pictured is dated 1900 . Came with the cornet maybe dates the horn early 1900's .
