Old African Chokwe Mask - ZAMBIA - Mid 20th Century
Old mask from the Chokwe people of Ethiopia.   Carved from a single piece of wood, painted in reddish brown. Nice patina from handling.
Old losses throughout, particularly to the base, ears and nose.  Old string netting/head cover still attached.  This is an old mask, not a tourist piece!
Please examine photographs carefully for condition.
Purchased years ago at auction, part of my personal collection that I am selling to downsize.
