    Description

    This rare and vintage medal commemorates the 8th International Wandertag (Hiking Day) near Graben-Neudorf, Germany. It is a heavy piece, probably of bronze and pewter, cast in 1978 by B. Laib in Pforzheim, Eisingen. On display the medal measures 6.25"x~3".
    It depicts "Sol and Phaethon" with Sol admonishing his son about life's dangers. A perfect holiday gift in this chaotic age.
