I did not replace the lacquer or clean the oxidation. It has a very nice vintage patina. The valves have very nice mother of pearl "key covers", all in excellent condition. The case shows external wear and some fraying of the case's exterior tweed covering but is solid and fully intact. The case's exterior leather edging has good stitching. A short (3") section of leather is missing, and there is some other minor leather loss. The Interior of the case is in excellent condition with the velvet intact with no tears. Both latches work.

    Description

This listing features a very nice vintage, King Master Cornet, made by the HN White Company, Cleveland, Ohio.
    It is ready to play.
The cornet is marked as "medium bore", and has serial number 269724, which dates it to approximately 1945.
The cornet is in excellent condition.  I acquired it from a music store in Maryland that was going out of business.  I had the cornet professionally tested and repaired to place it in normal playing condition, including removing all dents in the bell and in tubing, and replacing the spit valve corks.  The valves and slides work well.   See the "seller's notes" and photos for more condition details.
This instrument includes a King case, in very nice used vintage condition, including key for the locks.  The listing also includes a very nice Vincent Bach, Mt. Vernon, NY, 7C Cornet mouthpiece.
