    Description

    Vintage Large German Decorative Wooden Plate with Carved Dimensional Elk. This belonged to an elderly German gentleman. He frequently travelled back to Germany. Every time he went he brought back many German items. This decorative plate is, I believe, possibly turned on a lathe. The center section was carved separately, I'm guessing. There was an eye hook on the back that has broken off. It is about 13-1/2" across. The detail on the elk is very nice. There are a few lighter spots-and a few darker spots. It has very nice grain.
